M5 has additives to increase hp .They claim 3 to 5 percent more power with it . I have some friends that have tried it and have picked up over a tenth with it . As far as being legal if you are running a comp or alcohol class no it is not . For bracket or index it's fine .

I tried M5 didn't see any change.

If you want to see change add some nitro to it. Just 10% will make you a believer.

The word is "CLAIM".   A tenth is kinda stretching it,  Bracket or Index relys on being consistant.

Hey its your money, I have to rely on whats always availabe everywhere I go and that is what I tune for. Plus I can run thru about 20gal a weekend so I would like to keep my fuel bill as low as I can

I really don't know if a tenth is stretching it . One of my buddies picked up .12 with a very similar combination as mine . It is a little more expensive than m1 but not that much . My goal with this car is to try and run the 7.0 class so I am trying different things to make it quicker . George I think I am going to end up running a small percentage of Nitro at some point but I think that I will have to take some compression out of it . The motor has 14.85 right now and I think that might be too much . How much did you pick up with the 10 percent ? I am going to try the M5 in a couple of weeks . I will let you guys know it worked . Bill. I run all 1/8 mile. My injected 355 was 13.4:1 and I ran up to 15% in it with no problems with the engine. At 10 % ( by volume) the ET gain was more than .10 . I had made 3 runs 5.23 ,5.22 and 5.24. I drained the tank and added the mixed fuel, set the timing at 38 (was 36) and ran 5.14. Second run we ran the timing up to 40 and ran 5.11. A few weeks later we ran it on 11% ( measured) and ran 5.07. At 15% the torque converter started slipping. George

We ran our dragster on the chassis dyno across the street from our shop. Made 11 passes last weekend. Tomorrow we will make 2 more and then it's off to the track Wednesday night for some real runs.
We had been chasing an issue with low egt's and we thought we were too rich. After a few passes we went way rich to see what would be the outcome. We picked up 80+HP and 600 rpm. we went a bit richer but I think I am getting close to the capacity of the PG150C-1/2 pump. 075 main pill. 45lb bypass with a .090 jet.

We set the dyno for a measured 1350' we added the 30 extra feet so we could spin the drum and hit the throttle so we would not smoke the tires at the hit. We still did just not as bad. We ran 192mph and we were making 639hp at the wheel.
Not bad for a cast iron Buick ;D.
We are thinking the converter is not happy as the trans gets pretty warm compared to the older PTC converter. The dyno operator thinks we are also losing a bit of HP due to the converter.

Today I test fitted my recently acquired magnesium M/T valve covers...
and then stared at it for a while.
:)
Then I made sure the original spark plug tubes were compatible, and they are.

Well guy's and Girls, I and my partner just purchased a brand new 200 in Front Engine Dragster, and should be going to pick it up within the next 3 weeks,very  excited  very Poor after this, I must do this again before I check out.We will probably run a small block chev/ injected on alcohol, Anyway's iam trying to find out whay type of SFI rating do I need on my Firesuit and Helmet . And, If anyone has any good used stuff  like, i.e: Really hold on boy,s I need Chutes Motor,Brake 's, Tires,Wheels,Transmission ( powerglide) stuff like that. LOL anyway's, I have heard from: 3/2A/20, and I have heard, SFI 3/2A/15, I don't have my NHRA Book Yet, Help me, Tell me, Thank's, Pat

Pat a 15 will meet sfi requirements many times a when a 20 is recerted it is downgraded to a 15 which lets you use it longer profox has a really good sfi 15 at the best price
. for the extra few bucks I would go with a 20.

Changed torque converters hoping to help horrible 60 ft times (can't get any faster than a 1.20) and possibly overall time.  Removed the Specrite 5500 that would barely stall to 5000 and replaced with a new 8 inch Continental that is supposed to be 6k.  I was very impressed with the customer service I got from Continental and the new converter is probably 10lbs or more lighter.  Will give an update after we take it out on the 26th.  Also, we will be trying out 5 gallons of M5 and will give our impressions and any improvements.

Stroud has re-certed my -20 twice and maintained it as a -20

first time simpson recertifed my 20 they had pants still a 20 but jacket at 15. Siad it was not up to 20 nad at time it was only few years old. Sounds like good way to sale new 20 suits.
