Spent four hours cutting on some used Wilwood calipers I bought. Milled all ares I could find that had extra material and made them look little like the lite weight Strange units I have seen. 4 hours and I got about 2 1/4 lbs total off.Plus figure don't need bleeders except for when first installing and 4 bleeders weigh about 6 to 7 oz and four pipe plus less than 2 oz so another 1/4 lb saved at no cost Not much but its weight off and cost zero dollars. Work wise I went in the hole I guess. I use to pay 100 buck per lb when we took it off funny car ,so looking at it that way Im good with it.
Starting new housing this weekend out of moly and canning the mild steel one. Hopefully about 20 lbs differance when done. also changed ot cpl panles that where .050 for some .040 aluminum have not weighed yet but has to be 20% less. Now take the full chute body off and swap to second body(shorty) and I can save more but I like the look.I always have option since I made both.
