No, would love to use either of those shops excellent builders, but too far from PA to make it easily accessible.  I looked into S&W, Precision Chassis, and Ken Keir, all reputable builders in this area.  Stay tuned.

thanks,

I would have to agree with Wide open about Park's or Roo Man . I have a Parks car and it is a long ride but I only had to do it one time thank God . On the other hand after seeing Glen's Roo Man car it would be a tough decision on witch one to buy. Both of them do fantastic work . S and W builds a nice car also . Good luck with your new venture and keep us posted on your project Bill

Do you know if the price between Rooman and Parks is comparable?

Both guys seem to build top notch cars, both seem to very nice guys and both have been helpful in one way or another with my deal  and i have yet to spend any money with them.Well cpl hundred with parks but in this stuff that and nothing are about the same thing.

I will say not riding thru Kansas might sway me toward Rooman.I freaking hate Kansas, been thru it 3 times and 4 too many.

Ohio i state state that I do not like driving through.

They are notorious for pulling truckers over.

Got few things done today. Well one finished, love that word. What I call the bread box, adapter for injection to the tunnel ram.Finished cpl welds on tunnel ram and made top plate and got the bread box welded up.Then frilled and tapped it for bolts to hold injector.

Got Oil pan cutout and bent up.Made the pan rail and got pan tacked to it in few places, little more than tacked in others.Man its hard to stop a weld run its running good especailly aluminum.

Truly a sad moment, the end of summer, the Jeep has its top and doors back on and ready for storage, and the dragster is in pieces.

I had to move one collector and a section of its tubes to get the header/manifold to fit the car well. Annoying to say the least. Reworked it early this week and trial fit yesterday. Everything appears to fit now. Have to finish weld it, flap-wheel the welds and paint it AGAIN! Then it is time to get the carbs done. And get it running.

Sunday was the day we finally had the time to fire the Supercat FED with its new engine. We will try to get to Bakersfield this weekend to try it out.
We still have to get the tuning right as we are at 6900 ft.elevation here at the house. We just made sure all the new parts worked and that there were no leaks, all was good.....
Here is a quick link to last Sunday

Thanks Vince Idon't think it knows it's a Buick :DI think I need to richen the engine. I had a 115 jet in the main return and 35-37 Enderle jets at the nozzles. I am using a high speed set at 55lbs. I need to see what the RacePak says the egts were. I had one pipe start to turn blue at the elbow and the other seven are a nice shade of purple(stops about 9" from the valve).

Thought I had the cowl ready for wind screen.Nope change mind and need to open up more towards front.Aiming for modern top fuel look kind of like Shawn Langdon and few others. Real layed back and stretched way out.

Good part is it means removing more material ,always easier then filling back in. Guess this is bad part to drugout build.Too much time to rethink. Also redoing dash. Going to 3 side kind of like jet cockpit.
