As a side note during this I did try different oils. Brad Penn and Valvoline VR1, had the ring issues with both but never a bearing issue with either. Glad to help.

Thanks for info. Also Jon thans for info on SS dyke and nitro,I will have to check into that.My currant setup is .047 ss dyke top ring as I had three sets in box from my old alky days. Will do some checking after first of year as I my be buying some 4.400 pistons for second motor and will have to buy new rings also.
