strapping FED down in trailer

do you support your FED for traveling in the trailer or just strap front/rear down and call it good?   what do you do and why.  what should i be aware of and look out for.  what should i use for support if needed.  will be just the FED and golf cart.  (plus coolers etc)

FED or RED does not matter.They need support to keep from flexing during hauling.Remember that what got Darrel Gwynn,flex during ship ride. I know guys that have had boards uner part of chassis and other items.The air bag deal that you inflate once under car is one of the better things I have seen.

I'm sure lots do nothing.IMO that a stupid risk  JMO.

I have this right in front of the frone engine plate.



They are all Mac's tie downs.

We use the Mac's rear tire downs also, no issues after we switched from a single strap over the rear.
We don't use the front tie downs, but we do have a board under the rear motorplate, that we lower onto when we are loading the car with our dolly under the nose. I have heard of a team that had the blow-up bladder go flat and break the lower chassis rails while towing.
Even the Big Show guys have to front half their dragsters a few times ayear because of chassis flex during towing.
Save your dragster, support it.

One other thing you can do is every time you stop for fuel , dinner, or whatever open the trailer door and inspect the insides of the trailer. I also put a sheet of luan plywood between the bottom of the dragster and the blow-up bladder. I only use the front straps to keep the wheels from flopping over.

Ran a solid keg bumper for years without issue. Even a boat fender will work

Mac's inflatable support Very important. The old Keg bumpers work ok too but you need to jack up the car. I would use a Mac's bladder even in an air ride trailer. To many towing horror stories to list here.....
