1949 prefect Gasser
« on: October 13, 2014, 11:07:44 AM »
This is the prefect build . We started off hemi and clutch turbo. A guy walked in one day and bought every hemi ( including the 417 donovan out of the rail) - that we had. Clutch turbos will stay - we will go with a hilborn injected mouse. ( on rat poison).

Clutch turbos, are going the way of the  dinosaur. Yep you are right , the glide is cheaper and makes more sense. lol- The clutch turbo is for sale - they don't call it the poor mans lenco for nothing. 800$ or a stack injector( hilborn or ?????) set up for a sbc 8)

Came from FAST TIMES  RODS- Dunkirk NEWYORK. We could not even come close for the  price. I did some quick figures / and we could not even buy the parts and materials for what I paid. Remember -we operated a complete race/ fab shop up until NOV 2014. Mick wanted to retire and actually work on our stuff only-may be actually get to race before we get to where we were not able.  We had always wanted a Willys -one of the few  cars left on the list that we would like to have. Pete built to my spec, for what I would have spent on parts. He's the only person short of the Late Great Pat Foster that I have seen that is as ticky as I am on Quality/ Look / SAFTY. This is the only time in my life that Ive ever not built my own stuff- His body comes with door hinged ,latched, front cap is a thing of beauty also. The doors open and shut and the gaps are perfect. Everytime I look at it I find something small that impresses me - he builds and and thinks like we do.Still got to finish it, but he cut our build time by 2 years and saved money doing it. Micks a good bit older than me, and we would like to enjoy and race our stuff if possible before its to late to do so. Check Pete out at Fast times, and on  his face book,   you will see the car there also.

Just picked up a few more parts for the mouse.( from a 68-69 jr fuel world champion)
1 set of Hilborn injectors- already on gas- (these are in perfect condition -will order all new lines( equal length), new arms and linkage though-(been there done that)
1 set of stacks - perfect - other than 40 years of shelf rash- will powder coat silver/metallic.
1 set of isky roller rockers- the machine work is insane for the day.
1 Engle L155 roller / and lifters. Looks like new- and the rev kit.
Pile of parts getting bigger- ;D Jokers&Thieves. 8)
