What type of fuel cell do you have (i.e. aluminum, composite, plastic) and how often do you clean it out?
The reason I ask is you may want to filter the fuel going into the tank and forgo the line filter altogether. JAZ Products make a 60 micron filter that fits their funnel. Just need to whipe out you fuel cell once in awhile.
Just thought I would offer a different option.

It's been a long time since I've posted here and came across this while killing some time at work.
If you plan on having your rotating assembly balanced, they can take material off of the top of the rod or mill out the bottom of the piston to make it work (before balancing process).

Good points Jon.
You may want to take a leakdown and see how much fuel is getting past the rings. The humidity your running in may have an affect too. But unless your milking the oil to the point of loosing viscosity, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Are you running gas or alcohol? you may be able to get around the rules: per NHRA Heritage Rule Book for Nostalgia Eliminator classes.
SUPERCHARGER
Permitted on gasoline-, racing-gasoline-, and alcohol-burning cars. Rotors must bedriven from the front; both external drive and internal gearing. Superchargerrestraintsystem meeting SFI Spec 14.1 mandatory on supercharger when alcohol is used asfuel or Roots-type 6.71 with nitromethane. Manifold burst panel mandatory.Supercharger restraint straps must be covered with a fire-resistant material. Theblower restraint straps and fuel lines must be installed such that when the restraintstraps are fully extended no load is placed on any of the fuel lines.Supercharger belt guard that protects all fuel, oil, and water lines required. Nocomposite materials in injector hat and/or scoop allowed. Composite materialsinclude but are not limited to carbon fiber, Kevlar, and weave-graphite fiber. Hat/scoopmust be nostalgic in appearance. Internal modifications permitted. Scoops limited to12.5 inches above throttle body. Air intake limited to 65 square inches. See GeneralRegulations 1:10.

Again it would depend on if you are injected or blown. At you running it outright or on an index?
For our blown application we are looking between 1000 to 1100 degrees, which reminds me that we have our chamber and exhaust runner ceramic coated to better deal with the heat.

No water will be needed. Alcohol (water based) is a cooling agent unlike gasoline (petroleum base).
If you do run water, make certain you have a vented catch can reservoir on board for expansion.

If the belt breaks it's more than likely because the pump seized and it'll be too late by then anyways. Have not seen both pumps driven off the same belt before. In line with each other, but not side by side.
