Drag Racing / Re: pit tools
« on: October 03, 2017, 06:58:51 AM »
I have a lithium powered 3/8 drive mini impact wrench, hardly ever use a ratchet anymore - best tool I ever brought. Small, light, power full, lasts for ever, came with 2 x batteries. I will be buying another when car hits track, also a 1/2 one for wheel nuts etc. Quality ones expensive but you wont regret it. Glen

« on: September 11, 2017, 09:18:21 AM »
I am after a new set of alloy rods and Pistons for a 1957 392. My current setup is Brooks 88 alloy rods (standard length ) and Arias forged pistons approx 10:1 comp and 4.030 bore. I am after something similar for a 671 supercharged alcohol combo. Whats out there, Glen, Victoria Australia.  draper-racing@hotmail.com

Front Engine Dragsters / Re: puke tank
« on: July 31, 2016, 03:13:13 PM »
Steve, can you post pics of your set (also anyone else who has tried this before). I would like to make this system work, I plan to make a baffle setup as well, either over lifter gallery like Jim's car or attached to underside of valley cover - or both. I don't fully understand why oil would be pushed out of the valley area if appropriately baffled. Is the oil splashing around or under pressure and wouldn't the engine have the same pressure up in the rocker area if the valley was sealed. The main reason I want to use this system is to maintain some sort of nostalgia look for this car ( my original plan was for an old school late 60's car - now looking more like Mike Sullivan's early 70's version ), I like the look of the donovan breathers - they will be blocked off though.  Glen

I am about to attempt to wire up my altered, blown mechanical alcohol injected 392 hemi, supermag 4, onboard starter, 16 volt lithium battery, rpm data logger, powerglide, transbrake. I am after pics / advice on how to set up, I after a basic no fuss system. My knowledge is limited in this area so all info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Glen

Spud Miller's Cave / Fuel primer location
« on: April 02, 2016, 12:40:14 AM »
Where would be the best place to locate the fuel primer line for my engine. I can install in the Crower barrel valve or the port injection fuel block, I could also fabricate a small bracket and spray into the top of the injector. What have others done or recommend. Glen

A few pics of my setup, chute and fuel shutoff next to each other. Unsure if it will stay this way (as never used as car not finished) but feels ok when seated. Glen
