Like Jon says not hooking up is complicated. In my experience it's hard to believe that a FED is to heavy on front end, usually it's the opposite problem.
Run 6,5 sec in 1/4 mile with 1,00 60īand a controlled but not perfect tire spin. Have try multiple tires, rims, gear ratios, transmission ratios, converters and still fighting the launch.
When my car spins to hard itīs a result of to hard first hit and planting the tire to hard which makes them spin.

Have you tried to dump the timing out for a short period just after the hit? If I don't do that on my car it get crazy and big tireshake.
Also have notice that it usually the left tire that start shake on my car. So instead of adding pressure in right tire lower the pressure in left tire to make it spin easier.

Did use Tip Top Remaxx anti gliss  for many years to glue tire to rim and never had any problem with it.

Front end up in the air is for sure a crowd pleaser but my experience is that you get best ET if wheelie bars is long, stiff and low.

An easy way to put front tires on without any tools.
Start at opposite side of valve, put the tire in the low part in middle of wheel and tie it.
Work your way to the valve and tie it a couple of times and when you are at the valve then just bend tire with your fingers.

Also use a good valve with strong spring so it donīt let the air out when you got some speed on it.

The N&P shifter is a nice piece of art that's fit perfect in a FED and working flawless. Had mine for many years and love it.
