How tight is the clutch pack ? I would go no tighter than .060 for high gear or reverse !

That nozzle sounds way too small and with that small of a pill your pump is at max pressure ! An .035 or 37 nozzle might be more tunable for you ! My smallblock is 394 cubes and I use a .037 nozzle with a .088 main . My pump flows around 4.5 Gallons per minute .

Chris you can't get much weight out of a 4.30 or 4.10 gear . The lower ratio's like 4.86 and lower use a very heavy ring gear they are very thick and you can get a decent amount of weight out of them !

Question for Jon ! I am using Th M+ H 12X33 Tire and trying to figure out how much they grow at 185 mph . The tire measures 100 inches at 5 lbs air ! Trying to figure out what gear to put in . I am thinking a 5.00 or a 4.86 ! Not really afraid of rpm this new combination is a 15 degree head rolled over to 11 degrees and flow much better than my old 18 degree heads ! Thanks bill !

Chris you want to cross about 200 rpm above peak HP ! Thats if you want to be as fast as the car can run ! Your low gear choice should not change what your rear end ratio should be ! Great to finally meet you in Gainsville ! I wish we had more time to talk but the weather put a dampner on that ! We got down to 5 cars in Top Dragster ! We lost in round 3 and the guy we raced had a .000 light and went dead on with a three ! My friend was .012 on the tree and ran 6.42 on a 6.43 still a good race !

If you are running a carb the collector header will help with tuning ! I tested a to b to a on my car and found no change at all When I built my roomies I laid them out so I would not get fumes in my eyes and I'm very happy with them !

A1.05 is a decnt 60 ft but it seems like your finish line rpm dosent jive with your mph ! Might be worth talking to your converter guy about this !

I would also look at the converter . A 3.70 gear with that tire should be fine for your combo !
