im not up to par on the modern stuff as far as cost like piecing one together vs buying a drop out, but a hellcat drop out would be neat, just did a quick browse on ebay and you can get a drop out for around 15k. with supercharger... id think with some tuning they could make a good bit more power reliably ?

i have a gen 1 392 and glad i have all the parts for it before covid hit. im sure i have 25k+ into it with all the goodies... aluminum rods, nitro pistons, aluminum rockers etc.... and thats still using iron block, heads, and a 65 yr old crank..... its for a cackle car though.

my FED i have on the back burner i have a 496 im putting into it, put often look at ls stuff, then i get confused with all the interchange stuff so i just revert to old school

BW has a taller ball and off set that might help if you have a turn over ball.

if you get them hot and then paint it will last alot longer, i did several sets like that both with the black and silver vht

they also do this with ceramic coatings, you need to pre heat to 1200 degs, then let cool and paint. it burns off all the oils and stuff

torco race fuels used to sell it by the gallon, and i think alky digger sold it for a bit...... torcos site has race fuels and nitro is NA

they use nitro for fertilizer ? most likely why its going up

you need to build what you want, thats a big part of bracket racing, you can race what you want and just change a dial.... race for fun till you get it figured out..... the FED i have will get a 496 bbc with a bird on a tunnel ram.

if your going for functionality over looks. alky carb is a great setup. i ran a very basic system yrs ago that was very consistent, 350 sbc with iron eagle heads, like 11.1 comp solid flat tappet.

it had a 750 bg alky carb on it, with a BG barrel valve to control fuel pressure, used a edelbrock high flow mechanical pump, 3 gal tank in front of radiator, it was very simple and maintence free, after the car was loaded up i would open the fuel lines, just cracked them to drain back in the cell.... drain the bowls and spray in wd40, if i knew it would sit for a longer period i would spray lube in the hoses and cap the fuel cell so air could not get into it. i had a hose going from the intake under carb to inside car with a barrel valve on it, i would open that up to lean out the motor to build heat faster..... it was a good setup, ran 10;60s in a 68 camaro

imo, keep it simple, a mild sbc on gas, just use the belt driven water pump with a 160 thermostat.

this way water is always moving through the radiator, put an electric fan on it and turn on and off as needed.

that honda radiator might work only way to find out is to give it a try, i only ended up with the civic radiator as yrs ago on the forums that was recommended to me to use.

225DIGGER....do you happen to know the dimensions of the Civic radiators? More often than not, parts on Ebay don't have a great deal of info like dimensions, and I can understand that wouldn't be important if I were looking for a radiator for a Civic. $100 with a fan would be sweet!

so the one i have is 14.5 wide and roughly 18" long i wish i had a part number for you but i bought this thing like 15 yrs ago for my project. yeah that long ago im that guy who has alot of projects that seem to never get finished.

look on ebay for a honda civic aluminum radiator, you can get them for under 100.00 with fan, new.... they are small enough to fit between the rails but not to small. i have no experience in actual use, but its what i have for my dragster project.
