Title: fuel cell size
Post by: spookie on April 26, 2014, 04:46:55 AM: what size fuel cell for 1/4 mile. I drive to staging lanes and back.This is a small block 406 with stack injection on alcohol.

Post by: wideopen231 on April 26, 2014, 05:50:01 AM: 4 gal minimum IMO. I had a 2 gallong on injected car and getting back to pits was always questionable. I hope 4 works that what new tank I built for my car holds.

Post by: GlennLever on April 26, 2014, 06:02:36 AM: We use a three and a half gallon tank. I used to drive it to the lanes, run a 1/4 mile with a long brake down lane, and drive back. I never ran out, but it would be pretty dry.

We did not make as much power then as now, was running 8. 9 at 155 with a 461 making 600 HP on alcohol.

At the time it was a scoop with a screen and filter at the front
