Spud You spoke of too much quench in one of your articles . How much is too Much?

Aluminum rods....062    steel rods can be tighter.

Too much clearance or SPACE in the quench area can cause issues (not too much squeeze). The amount varies of course depending on the final compression ratio and the shape of the chamber. Like mentioned above, I'd squeeze the quench area all you can, leaving clearance for rod stretch. Adjust the final compression ratio with the dome and then you won't have problems with that.
