Thanks Glenn & Ricardo for the welcome. Got a nice PM from Glenn outlining the talent that's on board. I have raced most of the ca. tracks = OCIR - Irwindale = Fremont , that are now gone. I have ran at least 10 FED's a few F/C 's and AA/FA. My friend who drove for me 30 years ago has helped me (us) build a new FED. With him back in the seat after all this time, well it just makes things seem right again. We have had the car out twice & are getting back in the groove. Going to Bakersfield for Saturday nite nitro this weekend. Yes we are going to do our part in contaminating some of the air space with 50% Pics soon

Van have a good time this weekend at Famoso. We have been running at the Saturday Night Nitro program for the past few years.
I got my Top Fuel license in 2011 at the last SNN. We will try to go to the August SNN event or for ANRA in mid August with our car.
Have fun and stay safe.

Hey everyone, My name is Keven and I just joined. I am the driver of Van's dragster. I came over his house Saturday to work on our project and told him about this cool front engine dragster site I found. He popped up this site, this thread and said "Oh you mean this one?" Can't let him have all the fun. I did drive for him 30 years ago. Can't remember why I quit driving for him...now I remember I sold my firesuit to buy an engagement ring, what an idiot I was. Anyways, it felt like it was a few weeks, not 30 years since we last raced, everything is right. Van builds quick, fast and dependable dragsters. Looking forward to a lot fun racing.

That old Crower was a gift to an old friend 25 years ago. He knew about the new car & dug the Crower out and sent it back to me, he called and said he was returning something I had given him long ago. It was a surprise when I opened it & only vaguely remembered it. At that point we had to run it. We even have the original "Crower logo" debris cover for it.

I thought the same thing when I first saw that picture. I bought the digital file from the photographer and it was red eye from the flash.

Aw, BS on that. You had eyes wide open for the experience and the sensory (over) load at launch. I bet finish line photo would have your eyes (and mine) as big as dinner plates, which is why I think it's called the "big end", and for good reason. Even though tunnel vision is well in effect by then.
I didn't make that comment as though it was a bad thing.

I think we are both right.
