I have many favorites (there all good) but its hard to beat any one of John Mulligans railjobs! Show me yours!
-
And I can't forget "The Surfers"

Oh Boy!!!
-
I find the down ward slant of the engine/trans/rear setup interesting as opposed to what is built today. anybody have any pictures without the bodies so you see how there were built?

Heres a couple cutaway pics from back in the day. The blue one is the 1968 Beebe & Mulligan "Fighting Irish" car

Jobe, Skinner and Sorokin without doubt. Also Schubert and Herbert - the definition of engine dump!.
And one from England, my boyhood hero. Dennis Priddles' Mr Revell ( ex- Kuhl and Olsen)

The 2 dragsters that got me started on the road to building one was:
1. Magicar. One of my favorites. Love the body.

and
2. Zorba's Ghost. Had me thinking I could actually build a "low budget" FED and race it.

Dale Hall's Quater Caddy

I'm proud to say that I've had the honor of getting my butt whipped by Dale. Whether you're talking builder, tuner or driver...CLEARLY one of the very best!

I for one would like to see a big pic or pics of OLD28s 6 cyl 50s style dragster. I saw it on his avatar on For sale stuff here but the pic just wet my appetite for more. Another ol lad in his sixties with a six cyl rail. Wish he lived here and was at Picton Airfield. Maybe someone could twist his arm for more pics and info.

FYI, Gene and Gary Adams have rebuild-cackled the Adams-Wayre-Mulligan car, and displayed at the March Meet and CHRR and is headed for the NHRA Museum later this year, after I polished and clear ceramic coated the real mag Halibrand wheels and mounted the GoodYear Blue Streaks , which were real tuff to mount, they are old and stiff. I also built the front wheels too.
I rebuilt the "Addict's" front wheels, and the "Schubert & Herbert" wheels which is owner/built by Ron Johnson. I haven't checked the Museum lately but the Schubert & Herbert, I think it's there now. The "Magicar" is also a cackle car now too, seen at March Meet and Hot Rod Reunion.
