Title: 9 inch ford pinion seal issue

Needed to replace the pinion seal on my fed removed nut and female coupler the seal i removed had no lip on it the replacement seal has a lip and seems to be to big for installation . is there more than one pinon seal od

Larry there is a large pinion and small pinion for a 9 inch .

I thought he was referring to the outside diameter of the seal.
