Title: repacking wheel bearings on spindle mount wheels

i'm repacking wheel bearings on my altered that has weld spindle mount wheels and M/W spindles;;what is correct way to adjust bearing preload on them?   way I do cars and trucks is I run spindle nut in as tight as can get then back nut off roughly 1/4 turn;;works on street cars and trailers but there don't run 200 mph either;;I won't to do correct on race car;
