Strange has two different compounds for the calipers in my dragster, I put the softer compound (less aggressive) in when I changed them out this spring.

I ran the Strange softs for many years, but they suggested I go with the hard compound when I replaced them this year.  I have 20 or so passes on them and from a  functional and "feel" standpoint, I don't notice a difference.  I am curious as to how they wear the rotors.

thanks guys, my concern would be their grab in the shutdown up setting the car under braking.  I think I'll go for soft .  I'm not sure what pads I had in my altered Wilwood, but they did wear the disc grooving it quite badly after a season or so running them

You can tell which pads you had by the color of the backing plate, black is soft

I have the new Moser brakes with floating rotor held in by giant spirolox--they came with hawk black which is a pretty soft pad--I noticed they stopped my first pass from 120MPH very well with zero brake in etc--rotors have some grooves after three passes but that has to be from rocks and crap getting lodged in there--they felt great right from the start---it looks like it is a Volvo part number on the box--gotta love that
Only Volvo part ever on a FED?
