Runout on rear wheel

(1/2) > >>

masracingtd1167:
I was just checking a spare set of wheels that I have and the runout is around .070 . Is this ok ?

Bill you are trying hard to get reason to buy some new wheels aren't you? I just replied to this on drr. I know  you found some super lite wheels you want right?

This from the guy who spent 4 hours maching on some used caliper to save 2 whole pounds off rear of car. Heck I drilled the holes to get the air out of them.

I don't see how .070 could be big deal.Think about all the crap the tires does shape wise during a run. Is it wheel or mounting maybe tightened some before centeredmwould only take .035 off one way to get the .070 you have that pretty small on 15" wheel.

I just made the first race of the season (6 passes) with a brand new set of 2585's that had at least 5/8" difference and everything was fine.

wideopen231:
Maybe my fault on confussion.Bill's post is about the wheels runout not the tires rollout.

Cajuninjector:
I've never checked the runout of a wheel before. How do you do it?
 Sorry for my confusion.
