HAVE A 125" FUEL ALTERED[CM CHASSIS]WITH A 540BBC-/11.8-1 COMP/756 LIFT/BRODIX 2 PLUS HEADS WITH PORT&POLISH&FLOWED HEADS/STD TWIST 12-71 BLOWER AT 23.7% OD/SUPERMAG111/10"PTC BLOWER VERTER[SPRAGLESS]/PG TRANS WITH 1;80 PLANT/4;10 REAR GEARS.......HAVE HOSIER SLICKS/34.5X17X16//CO6/C2000 ON TIRES[USED] GOING FOR MY FIRST TnT APRIL 26TH..WHAT BE A GOOD TIRE PRESSURE TO START OFF AT?OUTLAW TRACK AND DON'T THINK THEY SPRAY TRACK WITH TRACTION COMPOUND;;1/8TH MILE TRACK;;WHAT THINK MY TIMES SHOULD BE?

I'd start at 5pounds first, and lower it half a pound the next run and see how it reacts.
Get a big gauge where you can see the pounds in atleast 1/4 psi increments.
Never mind the E.T. It runs what it runs. Just have fun and try to bring the car home in one piece.

It is hard to answer what tire pressure you will need because of so many variables. One big variable is the gauge itself. I have seen 3 different gauges get three different measurements. So what ever gauge you use stick with it and only use it. I think a good starting point would be around 5 PSI though. Good photos of the launch can tell you if it is too low (tire wrapping up too much and rim too close to ground) Also if it is too low it can fold up over itself. Wrinkles in the sidewalls and some deformation in front of tire is good.

I personally would run around 6psi and work backwards

I agree with starting at 6lbs and working from there.  I spent a lot of runs figuring tire pressure for my altered. All in all, I ended back at 6 lbs.  In fact, I staggered air pressure at one time. 6.0 on left and 6.5 on right.   I hear its not uncommon depending on tire roll out and launch charicteristics. Its really a trial an error event to see what the car likes.
