I allways tried to put it in 5 gal jugs with as little air space as possible. Make sure they seal tight. I had 4 jugs I kept over winter one year. Went thru the first 2 no problem 1st round of eliminations car starts to run poorly and gets worse each run. Turns out the o-ring was missing and it sucked up water over the winter. If its in the barrel with a lot of air. Purging the air out with nitrogen is a good idea.

Use metal cans and do not store on concrete floor.
