Anti-rotation device ?

So guys waat are you using, how have you got it set up ?  I'm currently using a 1/8 plate from lower rail up to the pinion support. 

Inspired by some of the neat and clean set ups on here, I'm thinking of going off the bottom of the housing to the chassis with a 1" bar, the ends being drilled bosses welded in at 90 degrees, sat in double shear between two 3mm brackets.   I figure if this housing ever tries to rotate the link is in compression rather than tension by tething the pinion ?

Personaly I prefer the anti-rotation plate at the front of the third member housing

thanks for the pic, can I ask why your prefer the plate off the pinion ?

Looking at the rear end from the side and draw an imaginary circle around the axle centerline to where the housing bolt will be and another where the front plate will be. I prefer the longer for the leverage increase. Second is that with todays tracks and the increased power we apply to them, the older stock housings can flex and warp to the point of not staying flat and I beleive the front plate helps to reduce this from happening. Current nostalgia funnys that run a stock housing and the top and bottom housing mounts have a lot of internal gusseting to prevent flange warping

Here is a couple pics of how we did our anti-rotation device. We doubled ours on the front and back of the housing. On the front side we incorporated it into the drive line cover.
