thanks for the thought on tilting.  I will give that a look.  I am going to get a tci shield to compare fit with the blanket and get that knocked out over the weekend.  thanks

so I picked up a new TCI shield.  looks nice all red and such.  I have the shield bolted to the trans at the servo.  out of  the box only one of the 3 brackets fit with out rebending.  As for the pan bracket it is a no way with out adding and subtracting material.   First issue is the second set of holes for a deep pan are not "long" enough to fit my TCI deep pan (go figure), second it has a hard interference with the shift cable bracket (also TCI).  Sure seems they would have installed at least one of these things as a completed trans and not just a component by component basis.  Any rate question is can I modify the pan bracket, I know I can not touch the top piece with the expense sticker.

Call TCI and ask about the lower strap and complain about the cable problem

according to TCI "modify the bottom loop to fit the application"

Look at the CSR trans shields. I've used them in tight fit applications with great success. they can be re-certified as well.
