I think this car is really cool. I'm pretty sure it's a Rooman build. Does anyone know which it use's a clutch or converter?
I don't know how to get the video to open on this page. Maybe Glenn can fix it.

All that I did on Tim's car was the body, seat and wings, the Dustman brothers (see the video that is linked in this one) built the roller. No clutch, just a step down drive to get the rpm's down and also to get the driveshaft low enough to line up with the rear end.

Those jet engines will stall over thrust with just the wheel brakes, let go of the brakes and it will take off

Thanks Bruce, but in this case the jet engine is driving the rear axle. I have to assume there's a torque converter between engine and axle. Or an automatic transmission, including reverse gears.

Sort of like a hot gas coupling instead of a fluid coupling? No torque multiplication?

Still a shaft coupling but linked to the output end of the turbine which can be stalled like a torque converter.

Actually SCS gearbox built the trans. From the engine to a drive line brake, then 1.75/1  2 gear reduction( changes direction and brings RPM down from 20,000) , SCS reverser, rear end 5.13 gears Moser 9" ford
