HI EVERYONE;;I'M DON BAKER;;BUILT MY FIRST BLOWN ALCOHOL 23T ALTERED;;IT ALL BEGIB BACK WHEN I WAS 13 YEARS OLD;;I HELD ON RADIO AND SEEN POSTERS THAT THEY WAS RACING FUEL ALTERED AT LOCAL TRACK[7 MILES FROM WHERE I LIVED]I LOVED THE LOOKS OF THEM SO I CLIMBED OUT MY BEDROOM WINDOW WITHOUT PARENTS KNOWING IT AND HITCH HIKED THE 7 MILES TO THE DRAG STRIP AND WALKED THOUGH CORN FIELD ALONG SIDE OF TRACK TILL I WAS WHERE I COULD WATCH THEM RACED..AFTER THEY DID I HITCH HIKED HOME AND I WAS HOOKED THEN..FROM THEN ON I WANTED TO BUILD AND DRIVE ONE..8 YRS AGO I BECAME VERY ILL AND WAS TOLD I HAD 6 TO 9 MONTHS TO LIVE..I SERVIVED THERE TIME LIMIT AND I STARTED BUILDING MY FIRST BLOWN ALCOHOL INJECTED 540BBC ENG. WITH PLAINS TO PUT IN A PRO/STREET NOVA I HAD;;I SEEN ON NET A PERSON HAD A FUNNY CAR CHASSIS AND A 23T ALTERED BODY THEY WANTED TO TRADE FOR A STREET CAR..I TRADED MY NOVA WITHOUT ENG FOR THE CHASSIS AND BODY AND DECIDED I WAS GOING TO LIVE TO BUILD MY DREAM SINCE I WAS 13YRS OLD..IT'S BEEN A 7 YEAR BUILD BECAUSE MY INCOME IS ONLY A MONTHLY DISABILTY CHECK BUT I HONESTLY THINK IT HAS KEPT ME ALIVE SO I CAN FULFILL MY DREAM;;THIS SHOULD BE YEAR I GET TO LIGHT IT OFF//STRAP MYSELF IN IT AND GO THE 1/4 MILE IN IT;;

I struggle with depression, and always feel I have a hard time of everything, but you certainly have had a hard time.

Thanks for welcome me to the fourm;;i've always felt that no matter a hard time a person is having there are always easy times to even it all out..we just need to wait for them and make them happen for us..as to building hot rods//race cars i've always say;;;"if it was easy then everyone be doing it"lets all have a good race season and a very safe one;;
