young kid, old soul
« on: February 20, 2014, 08:16:09 PM »
hey there guys, I just wanted to say hi to everybody and say thanks for an awsome site. one just for the real racecars.
Im just a young 25 year old from the west coast of Canada who likes to mess around with these front motor cars with my father. My father started racing when he was just a kid and he got me started at 8 with the Jr's, Havent looked back and last year we stepped up our race program with this guy

its a 225'' car built from RH Racecars up here in canada, which also happens to be my place of employment (im very lucky). Car has a 526 KB/Olds with a 14-71 and a glide. So far for us we have gone a best of 7.12 @196. with more in it for this up coming season. Iv always liked these cars and era even from a very early age, so my father has always said i got an old soul.
I hope il be able to help supply some info if i can as im sure il be absorbing much more from the site. thanks again

Thanks for the comments guys, yea the car was built in a new high chair style, 225'
The "mountain brew" was from the original owner and of course is a play on words from mountain dew the soft drink but with a wink to the process of moon shine.

well im gonna assume by your screen name that we may be on opposite sides of the Continent but if we every do happen to cross paths feel free to swing by the pit after racing. To beat the legal stuff i can neither CONFIRM nor deny that there may or may not be some 'shine' in the trailer

Nice hotrod  8)! A neighbor, who shall remain nameless, ran off a sample of afore mentioned "paint stripper" a few months ago. It proofed at 155 and I believe was as caustic as paint stripper. I grew up drinking the stuff but this was the worst ever.  :o
