what if you broke a ring or two
should?
the tank hold all the oil in the motor
blow a head gasket
hold all the water in the block

requirement is for a 1 gallon oil puke. I made mine closer to 2.25 and it really isn't that big. 10.25x4.25x12.
I run 6 quarts of oil and on the top half of the motor is there any more than a quarter of water and since I am not running a water pump I can't see getting more than a pint any way. So I would guess in reality on a non blown motor only going to puke 5 quarts oil and a pint of water. And with that a bigger chance the oil pan gets a hole and it goes down to the catch pan. Just my newbie thoughts. And yes I over thought it as well. :D

An injected motor will not pump out enough oil to worry about, A blown engine is a different story, but even that would reguire major damage and a lot of rpm. Most oildowns from the puke tank come from people not checking/draining the tank and it overflows when it sees pressure
