Green man-a-who???
(1/1)
Green Manalishi:
Hello from Daytona Florida. I too am a drag racing junkie. (Got it from my father, an old HEMI SS/A racer from way back)...Retired USAF, and currently going back to college for my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. After a break from the sport for a few years due to cancer, I'm currently building a couple rides. The first is a 160 inch WORM chassis FED. I have been collecting parts for a year and will start on the thing soon...It will be big block Chevy powered with a tunnel ram, and a glide pushing an 8 3/4 rear. I have had the chassis paid off for a few months, but it still hides in John Worm's shop at the moment. I'll have it shipped here soon...I belong to Southern Slingshots, and a member, Mike Seager, is helping me on the build. I am a doorslammer guy out of habit. But really looking forward to running a FED. The name, Green Manalishi, is a song title of an old Fleetwood Mac song that was covered by Judas Priest back in the '80's. The name stuck in my head, and so the dragster gets the name. The web site for the dragster is here: http://www.greenmanalishi.net/index.html
It will be emerald jade green with LOTS of big, 70's flake in the paint. (I am a painter also as part of my addiction.)
Other than color, the FED should look very similar to this:
I also have an S-10 addiction. This is my newest 7.50 index racer, a '95 I picked up for $250.
This is before I started gutting and prepping it.
The build is here: http://www.s10racer.com/board/showthread.php?t=7451
Glad to be a part of the growing FED and altered movement, and hope to see more faces here as well.

GlennLever:
Welcome and thanks for the introduction. Once you run the FED you will be hooked, ther eis nothing like it.
Green Manalishi:
Thanks Glenn! I LOVE your '69 Olds! One of my bucket list cars to own.
GlennLever:
That is my son's project car, I just helped him out.
denverflatheader:
Worm chassis's have nice lines. Neat detail how he keeps the top rail by engine a little lower.
