Best heat range spark-plugs for methanol

What is the general norm for the heat range of spark plugs in an injected alky engine.
We are running a 462 Buick that is 13.6 to 1.
Last week was the first time out with the new engine. We were using NGK BR8ES plugs at .035 gap.  MSD 6AL system with a 16 volt XS battery on board. We were running very rich at idle,250-275* EGT :o
We checked the leak-down on the fuel system when we got home, we were at 41-42%...... That has since been corrected and we are at 22% until we set the idle speed at the track to about 1700rpm. The fuel system was a separate issue that is now good and will work as intended next time out.
Any direction hot or cold on the plugs is appreciated.

 8's or 9's (cold plugs) work well. Those plugs you're using should be just fine.

 When running injected (vs. supercharged) you could be a little warmer (7) and do just fine too.

I have NGK R5672A-9 on my SBC 406:
- alky
- AFR 220 23° heads
- 12.5:1 CR
- vintage Hilborn 1-13/16”
- Isky roller cam grind R-507/R-495 (282°/286° @ .050”, 314°/318° adv, 108° LC)

Is there anybody else here using this NGK plug series?

I have only done three incomplete 1/8 mile passes so far, so I can't tell much how these plugs are working for me, but I'm considering one point hotter plugs (NGK R5672A-8) next time I buy plugs.

I run the NGK R5673-9. Gap is .016 with MSD 12LT mag. I have run NGK 8s . No difference.
