Last time that I saw dale was about 2 years ago and he was having a lot of trouble at that time remembering things short term . We talked a little about the old days of junior fuel and his FED . I talk to his son Scott quite often and he tells me things are only getting worse . It is just so sad to see him the way he is right now . Out of all the racers I remember and I mean all Dale was one of the smartest and fearless person I ever met. A true innovator in this sport . This is one of my favorite pictures Scott ,Dale my son BJ and myself

used to go on Saturdays to the old shop and listen to the customer stories. great stories. dale was the straight guy and norm was comedian, even at the track.
