Australian built, owned, tuned, crewed and driven. Our pride and joy now sits ready for testing. Keeping the verbal commentary to a minimum, here is a visual depiction of the progress of our "Fossil Fueler" through it's conception, gestation, birth and delivery........

body work was done by an old guy who worked on Formula One cars in the 60's. he was in his late 70's and his entire tool kit was contained in a tool box not much bigger than a shoe box. Amazing craftsman.......since departed. RIP Shelby!

Fair dinkum,  ;)
Very nice zoo. Are you on another board ? Seems I remember a zooman somewhere.
Hey can you give some motor specs when you get a chance. Nice seeing that Lenco in there.
Best to you.

I know you are on the under side of the world, and that Aussies do things different but driving on the wrong side of the road? ;D

Hahaha. the very nice 'shop" in some of these photos is actually a part of my house. Occassionally the missus wants to hang some washing in there when it is raining outside but I usually have it to myself. We call it the cave (a place where you can often find some old fossils from times gone by). The team and I are very happy working there. My other shop - the big untidy one - is not so neat and clean. It is full of the remnants of my exhibition vehicles (wheelstander and two J-34 jet dragsters). That place we call the quarry, 'cos it is fun digging through the large load of really old and dirty fossil parts. Hense the name of our digger..... Fossil Fueler.

Thanks for the comments guys. It's good to join in the passion shared by everyone here. I'm also a member on HRE and a couple of others, but this place rocks. The name says it all for me. Don't know why it took me so long to find it.

Cheers

Well it is good to hear that my dragster is not the only one that makes it into the house.

Mine does not fit in the garage so a hole was cut into the wall and sticks through to the inside of the three season poarch.

Now that's dedication when you cut a whole in the wall.
