Rear wheel width on a FED
« on: September 11, 2013, 11:06:11 AM »
Is there any advantage in changing from a 10" wide wheel to a 12" wide wheel? I'm currently running  a 33x12 Hoosier on a 10" wheel and need to replace the wheels.

Thanks

I run a 12" tire and wheel. Tire growth was good with the Goodyears and so far not so good with the Hoosiers. The tire growth is a third gear for my car.

It depends on what you need for growth.

I had thought of using a 10 wide with the 33" x 10w x 15 MTs would work good, the narrower rim I'm hoping would be less prone to shake and hollowing out in the centre at track surface

Trying to decide on 15x12 or 15x14.The 15x12 fit rules for lots of class',but the 14 would give be better setuyp for some braket tracks. Do like the lighter weight of narrower tire and wheel combo.
