Buickfed, suggestion....get rid of the alternator and maybe a remote w/p unless you're gonna run alky. Then scrap the w/p too. :P

no can do. my son likes to do laps with the rail. ;D  besides i hate carrying all the other stuff to the race track. it's set up to run when we get to the track. if a minor break happens and can be fix, ok. major break, its on the trailer and we go partying.  ;D

If you use alot of nitro, or if you don't use any at all, don't read this : )
I plan on trying some nitro this year and checked with our local supplier and they only sells it in drums.  I don't need a whole drum nor do I want 55 gallons sitting around in my garage.  I checked around and found some.  Got it smoothly, now I'm a happy camper.  Here's current link:

(ebay #2008 6701 4356)  or click on link.........

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Torco-Nitro-race-fuel-5-Gal-pail-Torco-100-Nitromethane-/200867014356?hash=item2ec49b66d4&item=200867014356&pt=Race_Car_Parts&vxp=mtr#ht_255wt_1129

p.s.  I ran this by Glenn first, since it's an ad.  Glenn said it was okay to post, I wasn't sure, so better to ask first.  Okay, I can check nitromethane off my to do list.

Excellent!  Thanks for the heads up . . . I would love to hit some cackle events this year and was worried about buying a 55gal drum considering I won't ever make a pass on the stuff

Spud, thats a fine looking hotrod!  Lets see today...I made the fuel shutoff cable bracket and mounted it on the fuel pump. Also made a bracket for my throttle return springs and started figuring out my top blower belt guard. I like to fab. everything possible, that way you know the part fits, not like ordering something and hoping it works about 50% of the time.

Today
I went out and started looking for all the parts I use for my inj s/b . I'm thinking about putting it in back in the fed . it was a lot more fun running it plus was not near as costly to run, So I think that will be my plan for this year.
this is what it look like before :

now this the look now :

Got a good deal on a front axle, spindles and spoke wheels, for the new car.  Today I shortened the axle and installed my crank hub, lower pulley and pump/drive (80A-1), on the engine going into the old "Smokin Gun". Oh, and called Speedway for a set of Kingpins. ;D
