Try to remember... Glenn's engine was put together as a single 4brl engine and ran as such.
The blower went on after that as a bolt-on.
This time around the clearance's will be increased.

The off shore cranks flex more than a good USA forging like a Bryant.
Then add a blower and they move around even more.

Driving a Front Engine Dragster builds character and keeps you awake for a 1/4 mile at a time.

Jon I run a 7al3 ignition I don't think that battery would have enough amps . I have had great luck with the MSD ignition . I guess if I used a Mag it would be ok .

Man I though that was a race car.No mag? Less wiring, needs no battery and just seems to belong in racecar.  Oh yea less weight means go faster,Whats the holdup there Bill? ;D
Chris I have had so much good luck with the 7AL3 I did not want to change over . Also I use the 2 step for launch and shift with the rpm switch . A lot of good features with this box . What dose an MSD mag weigh ? I use a belt drive distributor witch weigh's next to nothing and the box I will weigh it tonight .

I will wiegh a msd mag 12 and box tomorrom.Bad night and good amount of bourbon tonight after screwing paint on harley up because of stupidity. So waiting seems to be good idea.Pretty sure more than msd but as stated less than battery.

I really hate paint, just when you think you got it perfect you get a piece of dirt, a run  or touch it. I have never been able to get it right. I no longer paint only powder coat.

even worst when you do something stupid like lay a ladder against garage door and for get about it.Then you remember something intruck can not get wet and open garage door only to drop ladder across the tank. I hate doing stupid stuff more than anything else in the world.Accidents happen but most are results of stupidity. That applies here.

Not sure how accurate scales are but MSD 12 and box weighed right at 10 lbs what with cap and wires. MSD does have alite version, mines first thing they cam out with in 95 or 96.

My primary heat in the shop is a wood furnace. I gave up trying to keep it warm 24/7. Way too cold here in Central Illinois!

Finished drilling all of the lower rod bearings, weighed all of the rotating/reciprocating parts and calculated the bob weight required to balance the crank (1373.6 grams).
