I just opened the box received from Hayden Wheels (Jon Hansen, member here), with my vintage wheels restored. I'm still pinching me, the quality and craftsmanship is from another world.

Drove up toward Daytona today to pick up our new converter for the dragster.
Next week we go to Gainesville to get the new Hoosiers and have them mounted on wider wheels while there.
The trans has been freshened up and new valve springs ordered for the heads.
We will be in Bowling Green October 15-19 at the GS Nationals second time with this car. Last time we got an award for the #1 Crowd favorite at the event. The car had the small Nailhead in it and no paint.
Oh how things have changed :D

Yes, Pipe Dreams I can and do rebuild wire spoke wheels.
I only use Stainless Steel spokes and nipples, less expensive than chromed steel, and SS will not rust to the nipples.
New SS spokes and nipples cost $252 for 1 pair of wheels, it would save you $72 pr if you don't want the spokes polished.
New chrome rims would be $200 pr, or  show chrome your rims would be about the same.
Lace and true is $160 pr. Then more if you need new bearings, tires, tubes, and mounting and balance.

So feel free to call me anytime, 805-444-4489.

Just heard from a friend who is on the way to the meet, he is in Utah right now.

Quite a pit crew you have there.

Proper child raising right there.
Relecting obama is like shooting right foot because it did not hurt enough when you shot left foot

Glen glad to hear all went pretty well this year for you.
We should be out and about a lot more next year with our FED.....

Today I got the call from JW Tranny and was given the expected news we were ready for.
Burnt band and 8 disc clutch pack, bad pump, bad stator support , and they found our intermittent leak from the shift shaft.
They asked if I could even feel when I shifted the car? My response was at the last event every one ask if I was leaving in high gear or just short shifting.
Last time out we ran 1.101-60' ---- 5.01-1/8 @ 144 and 8.12 -1/4 @170  Not bad for an iron 462 NA engine on Methanol.
Looking forward to next week with the New/bigger fuel pump, New slicks, New trans, New converter, and the chassis painted( not that paint will make it go faster but it really looks much nicer.........)

Picking up the trans tomorrow :)
Should be a very busy weekend at the shop ;D

Glen have they posted next years expected events yet?
