Had a great day, fired the dragster up and all systems are go. Everything on the new datalogger worked. Had one of my new sponsors decals put on the trailer. Heading to Evadale TX Friday to race on Saturday!

Opening day here is 25 days away, and it is still below 32. I hope to fire the "new" engine this Saturday.

I moved some dust around on mine does that count? ;) Mine is starting to be a hold all :-[ See how much I can lay on it that don't go on it!

Randy!

YES! you have to do that otherwise untouched projects are like magnets, they attract everthing in the garage and soon they are covered with stuff.

No work on the car today. An all time record snowfall here ( 18.5 "). Crazy!! On the anniversary of ice storm in 1978 that had me working 18 hours a day for two weeks.

For a change that storm is going to completely miss us!

Bolted the hat on, getting close, I think this Saturday we will try an fire it.

Made a small modification to the hat so that it is easier to bolt on.

Come on guys post up what you are doing, no matter how small a project, did you sit in it an make motor noises?

i got mine up and running. i've been using headers from the tube car but can't put the rail on the ground because they hit. i have the header flanges made up and zoomies are ready for somebody to weld them. once that's done i can test the car at my fathers driveway.  :) getting a new battery tomorrow. started the setup for the 471 on the dummy block. this is going to take some time. when i finish that i will have 3 different setups i can run, carb, b&m and 471. gonna drive my son crazy...this is going to be fun.  :) :)

:P I worked hard all (most of the) day to earn more money to spend on hot rod parts! Had a good day grinding stumps for the city (school). Will weld on brackets for remote oil filter tomorrow. Got my oil filter lines made up yesterday. Still need to fab a blower belt guard and fuel shutoff lever and install said cable. Then we're down to wiring connections and dropping the dist. in.  Then....add fuel/oil and battery+ make noise. Woo Hoo!
