Started the above "belly button engine" for the first time this morning and have been grinning so hard I've got a face cramp :D. 370 cu in, Milodon block, dart heads, 8.5- 1, with a BDS 8-71 and bugcatcher, 80A-1 pump on alky. Very simple mild setup with a flat tapped cam and MSD 7AL-2 ignition. Previously have run a mag but had to try this. At 10% over, it sounds like a giant killer. Swapped the pulleys to 10% under, re-fired and it still sounds good. Bad batteries in the timing light, duhhh, will fine tune tomorrow.

Nothing like blown alky small blocks. Love the term Belly Button Engine. :)
You'll need a belt guard on that setup. NHRA won't like the lines running past the belt without a guard on it.

gregm784:
Try CTRL F5. Forces it to hit the webserver for a fresh copy.

I just couldn't wait to hear the noise! 8) Geez, that thing is loud! Daggone oil leaks, I think I had less problems with oil leaks when I was younger and less careful about assembling things.
