I've always done this hotrod thing for the fun of it and some things sure haven't changed. Started the above "belly button engine" for the first time this morning and have been grinning so hard I've got a face cramp :D.  370 cu in, Milodon block, dart heads, 8.5- 1, with a BDS 8-71 and bugcatcher, 80A-1 pump on alky. Very simple mild setup with a flat tapped cam and MSD 7AL-2 ignition. Previously have run a mag but had to try this.  At 10% over, it sounds like a giant killer. Swapped the pulleys to 10% under, re-fired and it still sounds good. Bad batteries in the timing light, duhhh, will fine tune tomorrow.
