Dang I been there too

Well since half of reason of having a race car is something to work on I am getting the most out of it.LOL I di find cpl things needing massaging while working on engine. Plus found that math on shorter rods effect on compression was dead on. still sucks to loose ,6;1 just to save 800 on set of rods.New pistons will fix that plus add another 3:1 extra along with 28 ci. Got to learn that " It is bracket car how fast does not matter" thing I keep hearing.

metalmaniac:
anyone got any pics of seat supports or mounts?

FINALLY finished up the welding on my chassis and cage. Now I can start putting the whole puzzle together to see if anything works out the way I hope.

There were some challenging positions this 70 year old had to get into to get to some of the welds! Actually.....I'm not finished, I still have to finish weld the MC bracket that's already tacked in place, and then when the whole engine and drivetrain go in place I'll finalize the engine mount brackets. I built using an alignment bar, but things move when welding. I had been very careful to stagger welds from side to side. I wonder how many times I slid the TIG torch to the opposite side and walked around the car?

I hope to get it done by Spring! ;)

lake_harley,  looks nice, what wheelbase? You might want to put a diagonal in your small tube box to keep the upper and lower rails from kinking in the future, don't trust just the engine and mid mount to do it alone.
