What did you do on your Front Engine Dragster TODAY?

<< < (22/231) > >>

Dolmetsch:
I fired up the Sr Dragsters Slant six to check the new tach install. (Thumbs up)I did a small thing to the ignition  had been putting off since last year. Then I turned my attention to the other rail, the 318 Poly deal.  I turned on my small foundry and melted some aluminum muffins to pour a steering adapter for the steering shaft of unknown origin. Then I machined it and stuck it in its home for a pic. This method gave me a proper spline for the shaft . I used masking tape to get enuf clearance and pressed it snuggly into the splines. Turned out pretty good I thought.

We had a coolant leak on the right head.

Took it apart

Put it back together

Made an improvement to the coolant system

Put together a list of items that need to be completed to go to the track on the 27th

masracingtd1167:

I have been welding on fuel tank most of evening. Its either the aluminum or thye xxxx welder(me) thats not working. Getting good flow is SOB tonight. Im not the worlds best aluminum welder anyway but most the time I decent. Got pissed so figured sitting down for beer ot two might be good idea.

As they say no time like the present to get back at it.
