thats why i asked i feel i could have the car done well by then ..... possibly for the geezers event at the grove but thats pushing it . i have a very full shop working on customers projects , but if i plain accordingly i could do it .............  realisticly i just need to finish the chassis and buy the injection system . i already have a blown bbc in my street car {dont luagh it has all the good parts to handle atleast 1200hp }  i need a hand full of small items to finish the car like fire supression / trans / and center chunk , everything else i have and its just a matter of putting together . but im a 1 man band , i have no help . no friends , family doesnt have any interest other than the wife and she cant wrench or weld soooo that leaves me . i have a goal of getting on the track this year , and if i can do something fun other than some test and tune stuff and bracket stuff id be extremly happy but , if things dont pan out there is always next yr which for me id rather do it right than rush it so we will see how it goes

how else could i shift it if no timers for shifting are allowed . i know its a simple you shift it answer , but i cant belive guys are shifting it there selfs ?  or maybe they are running high gear only  ?  maybe im just so used to bracket racing with full electrnics and just pushing 2 buttons to set everything ?

Most guys run an air or electric shifter with a powerglide and shift with a button on the butterfly.
