That's a cool project right there.  Lots of history, not only as the Fighting Irish but also the Holy Smokes funny car. 

West Coast hitter Jim Murphy.
I used to see this car run when I was younger,  Also worked on fuel cars in the 80's and 90's , while working on Frank krambegers Philly flyer we would run into Jim Murphy and Tim Beebe,, Worked on top fuelers and funnys both  Lucky enough to meet and get to know my drag raceing heros from my youth,, Tim Jones

Well Still plugging away on this, I got a dropped axle this spring so I finally got a chance to weld the mounts on it and hang it on the car, This chassis had a straight axle on it when I got it,, The Irish car had a drop on it when it ran, ,Still need to make new radius rods for  it,,,,Tim Jones

Growing up in MD. I remember watching the very gorgeous, clean and GREEN Bob Banning Dodge funny car.
Glad to see another car from the past reemerge from the older days... 8)
