Built this a few years a back. Always wondered what a Jeep bucket would look like as opposed to a T bucket. Body is in .040" Aluminum from a wooden buck I made (and still have in the basement. ) Car was pryed from my hands by gobs of $$$$$$ as it neared completion so I personally never got to enjoy it. However I know where it is. Noronco Sheet metal built the body for me. Owner is an old friend and racer.
Don
PS He told me when he built the body that every jeep must have a trailer hitch so as you can see there is a little fake one he added.

Here is a pic of the Jeep altered I built with an old lad most old drag racers will know. Bob is a friend and I see him always at Picton Airfield. Sometimes he has even helped my competition put of a jam. The fellow he helped asked me "Who is that old guy who was helping me? And why did he help me"?
Speaks to Bob's character desipite his seemingly wild side.
I sold the altered into the Taggz program and it was used for photo shoots. It is a display only motor despite being a race ready car. Kinda sad but I got payed so what can I really say? Picture at last Flatout Weekend held at Shannonville a couple of years ago.

Here is my Jeep, I would not call it an altered, in fact it is a survivor in the true sense of the word

Good looking Jeep. Always wanted to buy a Jeep but making the altered was as close as I got. I had talked about a Jeep Bucket and one day my pal Mike S gave me a grill he bought at a yardsale. He said "quit talking and get building"so I did. I kept narrowing it, worried that I would lose the "jeepness" in it but when down to three bars it still looked Jeep. The motor is a 5.7 Hemi which if I had a street jeep would happen instantly.
Always thougt of taking a jJeep and putting a short cab on then using the little pick up bed as a fifth wheel puller sort of like a mini transport truck or tractor trailer  for going to the races. So many ideas , so little time.
