You mean I'm all alone? Must be some more out there. This is embarrasing. I figured there would be a dozen or so at least. Sorry I started this thread. SO Randy it seems like it is up to you and me.

The Hendricks Ford six cylinder from Virden Illinois is a runner. Last time I saw the car was in Bowling Green Kentucky 2011 ? He was running low 8s in the 1/4 .
Dolmetsch:
When I originally built the Senior Dragster I had hoped others would build as well. I set out a group of rules. Basically 100 inch or less wheelbase. Driver over 50 years old. Any six cylinder engine between 225 and 258 cubes (so Mopar Chevy Ford and AMC could all play together heads up ) Stock cyl head castings. Flat tappet cams . Autos and converter allowed . Homebuilt as much as possible. (A warning about hi $$$$$$$$$$$$$ stuff.)
I had thought it would be a fun way to race. say six or eight old farts in the lanes running off in sequence. The crowd would love it. Never happened. But that is ok. I still have a ball with this one. It will never run 8s but might squeak out a 10. Still for a $3600 total investment over the last 7 years it has been a huge payback for me. I was interviewed during the yesterdays race several times by an on line magazine. He asked me at one point what things I have had to fix since designing and building the car. Kinda caught me off guard as I had never thought about that. After a long thought I had to say "Well nothing really" I have changed stuff for fun to see what would happen but never had to fix anything broken. Funny, I never thought of it before.
