When I say I'm a fossil collector, that's kind of an understatement, When I do something,, like my racing, I normally get carried away,,,,, Here's some of my fossils I've found ,the best find was a mostly complete Four tusker mastodon ( A 10 million year old type of Elephant) That's the reconstruted skull behind me in the pic,, Tim Jones

When we built the scattershield for the flathead, we ended up haveing to change just about everything in the trans area, I'll start with the steering, had to move it back about five inchs and get rid of all the knuckles and go back to the straight shaft , but We also added some X braces on each side of the trans, So we made a swing out mount for the box so we could remove the trans still,, here's some pics of that, Keep in mind I build most of this by hand without alot of nice tools to work with, So if it looks rough IT IS,, Tim Jones   More updates tomorrow  SORRY Pics too big I'll miss with them tomorrow night

Sorry about the reduction in the allowed picture size but cost of space storage has driven the change to restrict size to 800 X 600 / 150K

Hi Tim – saw your other post on your rear gears.  Yes, I agree 3.70s ideal with your setup to start (I used 3.63s, going to try something new this year 3.40s).  A clubmember running a ford banjo rear tried 4.44, 4.10 and 3.78 with spool and c4.  3.78 combo for him works well.  Enjoyed seeing your pictures.  You know the old rule about tools, more important knowing how to use them properly.  Hope all else going smoothly at CDR : )  Alan
