BIG THANKS to everyone that responded to my,, question about--rear axle ratio for CHASSIS RESEARCH CLONE.  Got some great answers!!
NEW question,, type of "clutches" used in a front engine dragster era 1958-1962??     Were stock heavy duty auto/truck clutches used??  For un-blowen engine
  with carbs or injection??

I tried using stock style clutches and they would come-apart ended up using mcleod solid disc clutch( with no marcel(sp) but with a sprung hub with both a 3 finger and diaphragm pressure plate.
