Question asked of me while back. WHy the heck did you build a FED? Especially for bracket racing was second part. Understand most here are not for brackets.Figured would make a fun post.

Me first/ Al;ways wanted one and always get what I want regardless how ling it take. Cool as xxxx! Plus being like 360 RED's or be only FED.I will take only any day.
Relecting obama is like shooting right foot because it did not hurt enough when you shot left foot

Ran RED for years.  Quit for awhile and when I decided to get back into racing I thought back about when I had the most fun and it was when I first started racing back in the 70's racing a fed.

I was born and grew up in New Orleans, and just before 1980 while I was still in high school, went to Laplace Dragway and saw a FED in person, and was intrigued and impressed. That was at the LAST DRAG RACE at that track. Some few years later I had a '66 Chevelle that I ran at  State Capital and Gulfport, later I moved to Houston for work, and ran at Eastex Dragstrip, until it closed, and then at what is now Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown.  A buddy turned me on to a FED that was offered for sale, and I traded my Chevelle and trailer for the FED, and its trailer.
Just keep the same amount of stuff on the right
as there is on the left. Seeing straight ahead is highly overrated....

All my life i dreamed of driving a blown alcohol FED.  Never got the chance to shoe one, so i built one.  Can't imagine owning anything else.

I've been 8's with doors, 7s in a roadster, but my FED is where my heart is.
