nobody said "racing is cheap"

rooman:
By the time you add up the material cost and the machining time it is worth just buying Rob Moore's package. For Vaught's 7.0 car the adapters (rear end and trans), two piece cover and band clamps ran about $600. Cut the tube/s to length, touch up the anodizing with a Sharpie and you are good to go. You may have to call him ( 619 296 9180) though as his web site appears to be messed up.

I’ve looked for band clamps for mine and I just can’t justify them! I’m to cheap lol

225digger:
check ebay, i bought a 3' section of 5" od tubing and a 24" section of 4-1/2"od 6061 for 150.00....i thought about using band clamps, but probably do like parks and machine each end piece for the tube to slip over the mounts that go on the end of the trans and the pinion support and 2 pins in the center of the tubing to hold it together.
