weight difference in Reid,ATI and Jw case and bell
« on: November 30, 2018, 02:06:33 PM »
Anyone know weight difference's in Reid,ATI and Jw case and bell all 2 piece deals. Mine will be for HEmi block but a general difference will be helpful. From researching site only thing I have found is shipping weights, about 1/2 butt close. Looks like JW deal is about 18 lbs heavier and wins lard butt award.LOL   Going to buy new combo next year and just get info so as to no what to keep watch out for in case deal on one comes along. Hey for 18 lbs it will not take much of deal.

I did a build a few years back for a TD guy using light weight parts minus the planet, we used an aluminum VB, aluminum high drum, and aluminum stamped pan. Overall I think we saved 24lbs over his JW case combo. I believe 18ish lbs was the case.

Thanks. 18 is pretty much what I have come up with using questionable data. Good to hear from someone that has worked with both .
