Shifting per rule book

(1/2) > >>

wideopen231:
. Automated shifters and/or timers-type shifting
devices prohibited; each individual shift must be a function of the drive.  In 7.0  class.

I take that to mean nothing can shift car w/o driver making it happen. So using a electric over air to shift and driver pushing button to trigger it would be fine?

Draw 3D:
Seen alot of setups that way including my NE1 car.

JrFuel Hayden:
Yes auto sifters are not allowed in NHRA nostalgia. RPM shifters not allowed, but air shifters , driver controlled is
And just to confuse things NHRA Comp Elim can run RPM shifters EXCEPT IN THE A/ND & B/ND FED nostalgila dragster classes.
Another exception between Heritage and Comp A/ND & B/ND  is in Comp you can run a MSD Grid system, but not allowed in JrFuel.
In our JF car we just use a manual shifter, KISS .

Hope this clears it up.

Curly1:
In our SHRA you can run an electric shifter but it can not be timed or RPM operated it has to be manually operated. I have a RPM activated switch and then a button on the wheel. When I race SHRA I simply remove the chip and then it can only shift manually.
